Steve
Anything beyond basic electrics isn't my bag so can anyone tell me whether it's okay to wire a Micro Avionics stand-alone strobe directly into the Voltage Regulator of a Polini Thor or whether it needs a battery between the two. The military flying around here is getting very busy and Notams aren't doing much for my peace of mind. There were two fast jets and a Hercules between 500 & 1000 feet within an hour of each other yesterday, all within half a mile of my launch site. pete_b
I would fit a battery personally. Only needs to be a small one.
PatPux
I think the Micro Avionics strobe draws 600ma, so a 3S lipo 2200mah, like this http://www.giantshark.co.uk/product/171 ... po-battery Would give you over three hours between charges. it might tolerate a 4S but this would only give you a faster flash rate rather than a bright one
