gordon_dunn
That's Lough Foyle if i'm not mistaken- Lough Foyle, and the River Foyle as it leaves Londonderry.... the nieghbouring bit of water, to the west is Lough Swilly- I can clearly see Inch Island. Was flying this area tonight infact- but nowhere near as high!!!! Remarkable pictures!! howd you get them???
Guest
I know the FB has a shead load of thrusts but I think it may have been his Boeing 777 rather than the monster. Great pics Norm! SW
gordon_dunn
Yes great pics.... Off topic, but interesting- This is the scene where lot of German U Boats surrendered in the closing stages of WW2- those lucky enough to get out of the North Atlantic theatre. Many of them were stored at Lisahally (the spur in the photo), until they could be towed out to sea and blown up. The area off the Northern Irish coast is littered with wrecks- including some from as far back as the Spanish Armada. Aparently a 'Mecca' for wreck divers. gordon_dunn
One for Gordon. I'm just realising where this one is- it's further along the Coast- and another one of my favourite flying haunts! Centre image is Rosapenna/Carrigart.... Rosguill and the Fanad Peninsula...... Amazing picture... great scenery!!!!
