  1. I have never heard of this person! (not that I am suggesting that's a bad thing) Good to know there is someone active up there! SW
  2. Well I never knew that! lol I am sure I wont be the only one looking at this now lol SW
  3. Hi and welcome! You are in one of those annoying places where there are no instructors for many a mile. I may be wrong but am fairly sure you are going to need to travel a fair way. We teach people from Scotland (I would say 2-3 a year) most will come down in the summer for a week or so to get the lump of it done. You could also look at doing a course overseas depending on your situation. Welcome to the Paramotor Club! SW
  4. They are as safe as the person that owns them apparently, you are more likely to have an accident on the way to the airfield than while flying. ( I have been told this a number of times by different instructors over the years ) Seems legit, but not sure where the stats are published. SW
  5. We teach people from that area www.paramotortraining.com Welcome to the Paramotor Club! SW
  6. If you want to buy stuff, maybe a book to tickle ones fancy while also being actually valuable knowledge I would be tempted also to get on with your training as soon as you can, most of the decent schools will be fully booked by the time the summer is here. Either way, see you soon at one of the events no doubt. SW
  7. Is it safe to assume you will be getting some instruction? If so, your best option by far would be to use the Schools kit until you have flown a couple of times at least before thinking about kit. There will be people on the field who you can talk to and of course your instructor will advise. SW
  8. Hi and welcome to the Paramotor Club In a nutshell, the wing would need to be different for sure, the motor could be the same if selected correctly at the start SW
  9. It looks like it may go some what on a mini viral.... Its been shared by a USA group with over 2 million members and going up by about 100 views every 2 mins lol It HAD to be done as an antidote to the recent embarrassing shambles of an ad campaign lolol SW :D
  10. If you like it, please do share it It's an antidote to the current 'snowflake' adverts.
  11. Welcome to the Paramotor Club Dan Good luck and enjoy, the training SW
  12. I too have the bluetooth MA headset. LOVE IT! I have always used Micro Avionics kit, and it's never let me down. SW
  13. @CMParamotors is at Northampton and @admin (Simon W) (me) at Swindon. Welcome to the Paramotor Club! SW
  14. If you are seeing massive differences in price, I would just make sure you use one of the dealers from the Ozone website. If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is. Parajet are Ozone importers. SW
  15. If you are in contact with them, I would love to make an offer for the manuals database!, do you know who owned it?? And welcome @grumble56! SW
  16. Hi mate, on the iPhone I have to click the zig zag (route) icon along the top and it's in that menu. They are super happy to talk to people and help, so if you have not already sussed it just give um a quick bell 01235 227 250 If your phone was here, I am sure it would take me a second, I would say take a spin down to my house (and you are more than welcome) but you will drive past The RunwayHD offices on your way if you did SW
  17. Thanks for the update! The lesson I will take from this, always remain glide clear of Alligators. SW
  18. Im my mind, not only is the UK a great place to fly Paramotors, Dartmoor is one of the very best places in the UK to fly a Paramotor!!! Your super lucky to live in that area!! SW
