  1. Happy for other members to post non PPG business links in the off topic. SW
  2. Hi all, as many of you know.. I have a fireworks company. We have a new website so linking here http://www.fireworksshow.co.uk If anyone is looking for some fireworks to fire yourself or a full show fired by us. check out the site SW
  3. Agreed on the shades and helmet I have prescription glasses which I just order a dark version of each time for flying in the summer, so I don't think 'flying glasses' are needed... just go find your self some cool arse shades! lol SW
  4. I don’t know what to believe lolol A quick google would suggest it ‘could’ be true....the tec seems to exist. I wish I had not removed the comments now to further analyse it. lol SW
  5. Well said @Steve Please let me know if you want the entire thread removed so that you can ask again... or if you are happy to leave this as is. Bloody robot bug thing! Welcome to the Paramotor Club!! lolol SW
  6. I can honestly say I have never heard of them! Odd as it may be, maybe I should have I dunno... but they are certainly not into the Paramotor scene unless it's a recent decision. SW
  7. Dear all, Please read the new description for this group The idea being that we encourage students to ask questions (no question is a silly question) And it will be answered only with a factual reply rather than opinion. It's an effort to cut through the confusion caused by social media pages and leave you with a clear and concise reply aimed to educate. Please do make use of this what will become very valuable asset to anyone who is learning to fly a Paramotor and to encourage people to reply, a free mug goes out to the reply with the most thumbs up. Please do share this link and encourage others to add to the Q & A data. SW
  8. That would set off a chain reaction if I were the Pilot mate lolol SW
  9. As I say, I am only basing that on the local guy who is very actively flying people V the conversion to learning. I think if you were taking someone up who already knows they want to do it, they will have fun... If you take someone up who is 'trying it out to see if they like it' I think they will feel differently. It would be interesting to get some feedback from the people who had a trial lesson and then did not learn. SW
  10. in the same way that I hate the idea of being on the back of someones motorbike (except for a very small handful of people) I know many people don't like the idea of not being in control in a tandem situation. Its a weird one... We have a guy who has been offering tandem flights for over a year now and not one single student has come from it. SW
  11. Is it? We honestly don't find to be the case at our school. Yes there are a small handful but I bet it's not even 1% or 1 in 10. SW
  12. Welcome to the Paramotor Club A good idea is to take a look at the member map here https://www.paramotorclub.org/membermap/ You can add your own location, but also see others and make contact. As far as I am aware, there are no Paramotor Schools in Scotland. I am sure someone will correct me if I got this wrong. My advice, use the member map, contact your local pilots and ask them who they did there training with SW
  13. These guys are on your doorstep https://www.libertyppg.com/training.html Welcome to the Paramotor Club! SW
  14. All, I recently purchased a half decent ultrasonic cleaner for my motorbike restoration. It turned out to be 100% better than I expected!! I now call it the newifator. lolol I would like to offer to all of you that need it, to send me your carbs for a F.O.C ultrasonic de-gunge. When I put the motorbike ones through it, I was flabbergasted at the amount of crap that came out of them!! (been itching to use that word for ages) lol Deal is: Send them to me, and pay for the sending back. Reply here if interested and I will PM over the address. You will 100% need to get a carb service kit to accompany this clean... there are many online places you can get these, please try to use your instructor / dealer for this if you can. The last thing you want when this is all over is a motor that won't play air games. lol SW
  15. This was done We opted for a dynamic site rather than an app There is now also an App in development for the software that runs this site. As soon as its available it will go live for all I have the test version and its currently poo. SW
  16. As I understand it, the only thing that needs to happen to the existing AXA policy is a change of wording (when the time comes) SW
  17. The PMC summer fly-in might just have to become the 'End of Corona Fly-in' As it stands, we are still set for the original dates for this event and will only cancel the event if ordered to do so by the .Gov Obviously there is a good chance that this can / will happen. Our plan of action is: 1. Keep planning / arranging the current date. 2. Plan alternative (later in the year dates). Whatever happens, we will be having this event as soon as is legally allowed. Stay happy, stay safe and be the best version of yourself SW
  18. You have People only post to moan about things... I was super happy with the EOS I got (A v1) and now so is the new owner The only real issues I have noted are the pull start. (the same as most of the Atoms and 185s) which I also have one each of. The warranty / support is awesome and I think that is more important. SW
  19. Any secret clues you can give as to who you 'were' lol ?? I am sure you can understand my asking.. Also, the Classifieds section is a much better place to sell things. https://www.paramotorclub.org/classifieds/ SW
